Overview:
Addiction often functions as an attachment strategy—a way to regulate emotional pain rooted in trauma. This workshop shows how EFCT can transform addictive processes by accessing unresolved emotional wounds and strengthening secure attachment. Participants will learn modifications to EFT that help clients move from self-medication toward relational healing.

Learning outcomes:

  • Conceptualize addiction through an attachment and trauma lens
  • Apply EFT interventions that access underlying pain while maintaining regulation
  • Strengthen secure bonding as a replacement for self-medicating patterns
