Overview:
Pursuers often carry both intensity and shame, longing and fear. This workshop reframes pursuing behaviors as protective strategies rooted in attachment needs, using cultural imagery and clinical reflection to illuminate the path toward softening. Participants will explore how to stay with intensity, validate longing, and guide clients toward vulnerability that reconnects rather than protests.

Learning outcomes:

  • Validate pursuing behaviors as protective attachment responses
  • Reframe protest as a longing for connection to reduce internalized shame
  • Support the shift from reactive protest to vulnerable expression
