Overview:
In this interactive plenary presentation, researcher Julia Freeland Fisher will provide an overview of how AI stands to reshape human connection as we know it. Drawing on examples from industry and research, she will describe the ways AI is poised to either dramatically expand or radically disrupt our relationships, and how AI tools are already reshaping help-seeking behaviors. Against that backdrop, Freeland Fisher will share what her research identifies as critical to safeguarding human connection in this brave new work — and how practitioners can put those practices to work.
